Books To Read to have a Different Perspective

5 years ago, I used to not read a lot, and I think that is a problem. So I decided back then that I must read on so I can expand my knowledge on just about anything. I was at a loss that time, I do not know what books to start reading, what topic should I start first, which book should I buy. There are a lot of things I know I lack knowledge of like in history, economics, astronomy, zoology, and the list just goes on. So I decided to make this post in order to help those who might want to expand their knowledge as well, and to help you with your confusion on which books you should start reading first. I do think that we all should start with the self help and research books first before diving into the factual books.

The first on my list of recommendation is The Power of Habit: Why We Do What We Do in Life and Business. It is a very interesting book to read. As described by Amazon: In The Power of Habit, Pulitzer Prize–winning business reporter Charles Duhigg takes us to the thrilling edge of scientific discoveries that explain why habits exist and how they can be changed. This is more of an eye opening book rather than factual things. The thing is, I do think that you need to have a more different perspective before really jumping into tons of different books out there. This book a great book to start with, and you need to read it.

It is basically a book that uses research to explain how habits are being formed and how you can have it changed. We all know someone who was out of shape, a smoker or an alcoholic but then again all of a sudden they changed, it’s like a overnight thing or a very short period of time. The most basic explanation in there is that they just formed a new habit and changed their old ones.

Another book I want to recommend is the Outwitting the Devil: The Secret to Freedom and Success: Napoleon Hill. I did enjoyed reading this book, this is actually the 5th book I have read after being curious. It is described by Amazon as : Using his legendary ability to get to the root of human potential, Napoleon Hill digs deep to reveal how fear, procrastination, anger, and jealousy prevent us from realizing our personal goals. It was written by Napoleon Hill way back 1938 and still makes sense even to this day.

The Outwitting the Devil: The Secret to Freedom and Success: Napoleon Hill is actually the most thought provoking book I have ever read. You should note though that you need to be open minded when you read this book. Let the book inspire you and change your perspective in life. There is term ‘drifter’ from the book that I think is preventing someone from being successful.

Lastly, the book on my book of recommendation for this post is the Hooked: How to Build Habit-Forming Products: Nir Eyal. Amazon described it as : Why do some products capture widespread attention while others flop? What makes us engage with certai  n products out of sheer habit? Is there a pattern underlying how technologies hook us?

This book is extremely of value to someone who dreams to build their products someday. It is indeed a useful book and this book helps in new ways to think about the things that you have learned.
