Submitting an Item for Sale

Send us either by email or snail mail a letter that includes your name, address, telephone and email information: synopsis of the book(s) you are submitting; a copy of the cover (front and back) of the book(s); no book from large publishing houses are currently being accepted.

We reserve the right to refuse any book. The books that will not be accepted are anything with graphic violence, pornography, extreme violence of any kind, etc.. A vulgar cover is also subject to refusal.

All book(s) must have a valid ISBN that is printed on the book and a scannable bar code printed on the back of the book. The bar code must scan to match the ISBN on the book, and the ISBN on the book must match the ISBN on the application. All book titles must have a list price of at least $2.99. (If autographed a sticker appearing on the front announcing that it is signed must be present. We reserve the right to sell these for a little more. This is an option and not necessary.)

All audio books are handled in the same way.

All music CD(s) must have a UPC that is bar-coded and readable on the outside of the package. The bar code must scan to match the UPC on the CD.

When you receive your e-mail of acceptance it will include the quantity and other instructions.

The Robin’s Nest Books will not issue compensation for packages or items lost in transit to us.

The Robin’s Nest Books will automatically issue you a check for copies sold during a given month at the end of the following month. For instance, if a copy sells any time during the month of January, The Robin’s Nest Books will issue and mail you a check by the last day of February. This allows us to account for any returns we may have on your title.

All payments will be made in U.S. dollars only.

We will pay you 45% of the publisher’s list price or of the suggested retail price you selected. This is equivalent to a 55% purchase discount.

You may ask us to put any book or audio on special, when it is your choice our fee stays the same. The discount will be take out of your portion.

If we decide to have any specials we will request your approval and the discount will come out of our fee when we initiated the discount.

We will submit a e-mail requesting more copies. We must receive a reply within 24 hours or the order will be cancelled and the book will be removed.

We choose where books are placed on the web site.


To help get the word out about the web site, which will benefit everyone, we ask that an email announcing that you are there be sent to all your friends and family with a request for them to send to their friends and family. We will also have advertisements on other sites. We will let you know when the ads appear. We have an ad on midcitiesonline.com. We have several pay-per-clicks going.

The Robin’s Nest Books does not guarantee the sale of any book. These terms must be agreed to by either a signed copy with mail submission or a line announcing that you accept must be in the email. If no agreement is made the submission will not be accepted.

Purchasers will have the opportunity to submit a review on the book please let us know if you want to participate. This will mean good or bad can be submitted. We will not accept any that are too degrading. They will be emailed regardless.

In Texas only we will charge sales tax to residents and be responsible for it.
